Went to this little privately owned used game store last Saturday; The Sore Thumb located in Mauldin, S.C.. They guy who I assume owns and runs the place was behind the counter repairing a PS2. So I had this question I'd been wanting to ask someone in the know about a theratical Dreamcast repair. This is that conversation to the best of my rememberanceMe: Have you ever repaired a Dreamcast?guy: (laughing) If you've got a broken Dreamcast just throw that garbage away!Me: (feeling insulted) Ah, so you don't know how to repair them?guy: (quits his laughing) I use to repair them when they were worth a profit. But honestly if yours is broken just go buy one for $15 at EB.Me: Yet you're standing there repairing a PS2?guy: (looking very disgusted) Dreamcast was the worst quality game system ever made. It scratches any disc you ever put in it! The disc themselves are of extremely low quality, it's a wonder any have survived to be traded in here! (now looking a little angry) Me: Never mind then, I'd like to buy this game.guy: (immeadietley recovers from his anger) Certainly! Oh... a Dreamcast game.Me: I'd like to inspect the disc before buying.guy: Don't blame you. Be right back, the discs are kept in the back room.(about one minute later) WOW! (guy returns from back room) I've never seen a Dreamcast game in that good a condition.Me: (looks at game disc) Ok, I'll buy it. (pays and leaves) It was the first time, and it was very likely the last time I'll ever shop there.
