After frequently answering questions on the GameFAQs message board about DC_Divx, I went back and revisited the " DC_Divx for Dummies Guide", hosted at DCHomebrew, for which I myself initially learned from and have been referring others to. Alas, the guide has not aged well. I'd forgotten about all the errors in that old guide. But what can you really expect from a "for Dummies" guide? I'm now working on a accurate, more comprehensive, DC_Divx guide. It should be ready in time for the DCM 3.0 site launch. In the meantime if you have any questions regarding DC_Divx please ask them here.

Basic, yet very stupid question. Do I just burn an avi file to CD then pop it in after its all said and done?

Yes, that's all there really is to it. The AVI does have to be within certain specifications though.
There are technically three versions of the DC_Divx program. DC_Divx: The original program. Boot with this program and then swap for a disc with an AVI file(s). DC_Divx for Dummies: Available exclusively at DCHomebrew. A custom version that puts your AVI files on the same disc as DC_Divx. uDC_Divx: Based on the DC_Divx program, but supposedly allows for higher video bitrates. Unfortunetly for the poor guy that made this version, he didn't realise that at 320x240 resolution a high video bit rate is pointless.

Alright. More questions from me.
Can I have more than one AVI file on a CD, ala the entire first season of red verses blue or one avi per disc?

The guide is finished. It should be up at the same time as or shortly after DCM 3.0 launches.
