Entry One:
Ahh, another fine game never translated into English. The only thing to do is play it in it's native Japanese.
I thought that not understanding spoken or printed Japanese would have made this game nearly impossibe to play, but... I was wrong.
It actually makes it all the more interesting.
One of the wonderful things about this game is all the anime style characters, and the way their facial expressions change as they speak.
I've come to rely on facial expressions to understand the general idea of the conversations that occurr in the game.
But enough about the aspects of the game, let me tell you what's going on so far in the game.
Mind you this is how I've interpreted the events in the game so far.
The setting is 1917, Japan.
Game starts as you a young 20 or so year old male meets up with your girlfriend, whom a believe is named Sakura, in a park.
After a brief conversation about your losing a job, she offers to try and get you one at the theater. At the theater you go to the office of
Sakura's boss. Her boss hass a shot glass in his hand and talks like he's drunk, but hires you.
As an employ of the theater you get to live their on the second floor where all the other employees live, which at the moment is 4 female actors,
one of which is Sakura. And no nothing weird or bad is going on, it's just the way things were back in those days.
Apparently your hired as a custodian and do odd jobs around the theater. The youngest actress (we'll call her Annie) instantly dislikes you. Sakura's
rival (we'll call her Amanda) seems to flirt with you to annoy Sakura. And the oldest actress, she's maybe 23-25 years old, (will call her Sue),
seems to have a stay out of my way attitude.
Basically you get into a bunch of conversations pick your answer and by the end of episode 1 (the game is divided up into episodes) Amanda seemed to like me pretty well.
Ok, so your going around minding your own business when the alarm sounds and Sakura appears says something , opens a round cover on the wal and jumps in the opening.
Next thing you know your in some kind of control room. And guess who the commander is?.... Your boss. And he seems to be pretty sober at the moment. This is when you find out
that the theater is really a front for a goverment organization created to combat the evil steam powered robots from wherever. Needless to say you've just been made the captain of the
team, so to speak. So you, Sakura, Sue, Amanda, get into your steam powered combat mecha and go fight the forces of evil.
After winning the battle there is a bit of celebration and your boss looks drunk again.
I might have some of this mixed up as to the order it happened in but oh well.
Episode 3: Sue is Russian!
