I feel like were talking two steps back, one step forward (having lost F355 and losing SegaKara on April 1st) but this news is sooo freaking insane I could care less, even more so since I never EVER got to play around with Shenmue Passport when it was fully online. Check out the Shenmue Dojo update for more details on my I screamed "Sweet" at the top of my lungs in a public setting. shenmue.planets.gamespy.com/

Yeah, Nanatsusaya (a PSO player) was telling me about this last night while on PSO. I tried it out for myself tonight. Odd thing was, the only other time I'd tried to use the online feature of the Shenmue Passport disc was back in December of 2003 and since it couldn't connect me then I just assumed it was offline. Apparently it was just an issue with the ISP I had at that time.
Spent a good 45 minutes looking at all the stuff on there tonight. Well worth checking out.

Notice they pulled the article. They're saying now it's all a hoax. The person who broke the news to the world, Sakuragaoka, is a hacker who's managed to put the site back up using files people had saved from the original site.
Still, it's better than not having any online passport features at all.

Ya, I honestly dont care, as long as some of the online passport features work its really not a haox but a service to us fans.

Ive read posts from the guy who now owns the domain (at Shenmue Dojo) and he is tracking down all the correct game dl extra's and putting them online so you can trade for um. If I dont patch things up with one of my better friends by spring break, I think I know what ill be doing when im not out with other friends: SHENMUE 24/7! (ironically enough)
